What do you mean by 'Social Interview'?

I would be most grateful if I had a few people who would allow me to ask them a few questions regarding social events such as 'cosplay', 'role-play' and anything else they find appealing in that particular category.

What are you hoping to achieve from this?

I'm hoping that I can make others (as well as myself) aware to just what exactly attracts people into such situations.

. Is it that they can escape reality and create new friends through an entirely alternate personality?

. Is it that they enjoy being able to promote their favourite character in these social ways?

. Do they simply enjoying being able to create a storyline through the actions they take?

. Or do they simply like conversing with another human who reminds them of someone they like; similar to a comfort blanket?

Of course, the fact that everyone has their own different views and opinions on such a matter can create an entirely interesting (or disputable) topic for discussion.

If I do agree to help you, what will you do with the results?

With your direct permission, I will eventually place them together with all of the other results I received. If possible, I'd also like to do an auditorial interview through voices so there could be a clear understanding of what is wanted to be expressed. If such cases are granted, I'd like to create a small reporter's blog sharing the variety of different views I've received.

Is there a Deadline?

No, no deadline. Feel free to take as much time as you wish.

Anything else we should know?

Like I said, people's privacy are the most important thing to me. I would never post anything without a volunteer's direct permission; furthermore, if I do post something, I shall always give them a link so they can review their work.
